I am extremely proud to say that I reached all my goals for my first fundraiser, Paint The Town BLUE!
$500.00 was raised at the event + $231.00 online, which gives us a grand total of $731.00 raised for The Autism Society of America!
There were also over 50 people at the event & everyone had a fantastic time. I received positive feedback from each person there and it was great to see all the hard work really pay off. :)
Also, we were able to collect a large amount of school supplies for Crossroads School. The supplies filled a huge container and weighed 34 lbs in total!
I have to say a HUGE thank you to all my friends and family that helped me before, during & after my event! <3 Your help means the world to me & I would not have been able to do it without you!
Thanks to: my mom, my aunt, Marty (owner of Irish Times), Candi, Filomena, Robin, Amy, Will, Jenn and Anthony.
Additional thanks to those who donated items for the raffles: my mom, Bald Vinny (head Bleacher Creature), Brooklyn Cyclones, Samanta Darnell, Robin and Red Lobster.
I am even more eager, prepared & confident to host my next fundraiser and it's only a matter of time before I turn all my ideas into reality once again!
STAY TUNED! & as always, thanks for all your support! <3

Raise Your Voice - for Autism
Autism affects an overwhelming number of people, and is steadily increasing. However, not many people are really aware of the disorder or understand it. It is my desire to increase AWARENESS about Autism and potentially more EARLY DETECTION, as well as, to raise funds for continued SUPPORT and future RESEARCH for a cure.

Paint The Town BLUE!
Raise Your Voice - for Autism is hosting a fundraiser to raise funds for the Autism Society and to increase acceptance of autism through awareness.
All the details have been finalized for the fundraiser & everything is running smoothly!
Here's all the info:
Paint The Town BLUE! is on April 2nd!!!
Place: Irish Times, NYC (254 W 31st St)
Time: 8:00PM-12:00AM
There's going to be plenty of fun things to participate in at this event & you definitely don't want to miss out!!
April 2nd is World Autism Awareness day and in honor of it I am asking that everyone celebrates it by wearing something blue.
First off, there will be various raffles with fantastic items and gift packages. There will be something to interest everyone, especially you big NY baseball fans. :)
All proceeds from this raffle will go directly to the Autism Society.
Secondly, I am running a school supply drive and requesting that people bring in items to be donated to Crossroads School, which is a local autism school in Westfield, NJ. They are mainly asking for: glue sticks, crayons, pencils and children scissors.
Feel free to donate other school supplies, as well.
There will be games, cupcakes, a great atmosphere and hopefully YOU!
ANDDD, the owner of the bar is awesome so he's offering DISCOUNTED DRINKS for the length of the event! :)
An information table will be set up for those of you interested in learning more about Autism and how you can help.
>Please remember to wear something that's BLUE - it doesn't matter what shade!<
**If you can't attend the event, please consider making a direct donation to the Autism Society through my 1 Power 4 Autism event page:

Raise Your Voice is BACK IN ACTION! :D
Hi everyone! I just wanted to put up this quick blog to let you know that I will posting on here a lot more frequently than I have been. While I never gave up hope on hosting a fundraiser, I did need some time to figure out a plan of action and fortunately for me I've met some fantastic people in that time that have really helped me. Not only am I planning a new fundraiser but I have already confirmed a venue, date and time!
Paint The Town BLUE will take place on April 2nd, 2011 (which is World Autism Awareness day!) at Irish Times bar in NYC from 8PM-12AM. There are many more details about the event which I will post as soon as everything else in finalized.
Stay Tuned! I'll be doing LOTS of PR for the event all over the internet & social media sites.
HUGS to you all! xoxox <3

It's Official - There Will Be NO Fundraiser on August 14th :(
It's offically decided that Raise Your Voice will no longer be hosting a fundraiser on August 14th :(
It's kinda frustrating that it could not work out this time but I greatly appreciate all the support that people have provided me. From family and friends to co-workers and complete strangers I have been inspired to keep pushing forward and carry out the goals of this cause.
Rest assured, I still have big dreams and plans for this cause and just because this event didn't work out, does not mean I'm giving up! :)
I would like to thank all of those who helped me out and were planning on helping out at the event. Your support means the world to me and I love you even more for it!
Please STAY TUNED b/c there will be a successful fundraiser in the future and I would love for all of you to be a part of it! <3
As always, THANKS FOR READING!
Love ya! And I'll be updating this blog again soon!
